Our coating soft clays are produced in Hirschau-Schnaittenbach and by our subsidiary in Saxony, Caminauer Kaolinwerk GmbH.
Deposits with sufficient reserves for many decades and state-of-the-art production facilities make us a reliable partner for the paper industry.
Our primary deposits yield kaolin with a characteristic disc or platelet shape (high aspect ratio). This makes it possible to create good fibre coatings even with low coat weights. The primary areas of application are therefore ULWC and LWC gravure papers. They are also used in pre-coatings, where – in combination with other pigments – they increase the hold-out.
